Resurrection – Old Emerald Bakehouse

ECH has been managing restoration activities to revive the use of the old bakehouse with the potential of resurrecting the century old wood fired oven as recommended in the heritage conservation plans. Commonwealth Bank, both local and CBA corporate management have  been very supportive toward the market development and restoration of the old bakehouse site.

ECH will continue to restore the bakehouse as part of their long term commitment to heritage protection and community enterprise in ground breaking agreement with CBA. This kind of community renewal illustrates the possibilities of community-business shared responsibility that is beneficial to the local community, saves important places that tell stories from the past and provides opportunity for community enterprise to flourish in support of not for profits in our area.
